You will be challenged and gratified by a role with Target Legal Affairs.  A role in    Food Safety, Quality, & Regulatory (FSQR) means supporting programs and processes that help Target succeed by consistently delivering safe, high quality, and compliant food and beverages. As a Quality Management Operations Manager, you will support Target’s efforts to identify, prioritize and minimize areas of quality and food safety risk by evaluating and analyzing home Food Distribution Center (FDC) operational methods and procedures. You will supervise the Quality Management team at FDC. You will identify, evaluate, and implement efficiencies to achieve desired results in the areas of inventory accuracy, quality management, productivity, service, cost effectiveness, and growth and development of team members. You will also support Target’s Food & Beverage strategy in collaboration with Inventory Management/Control, Inbound and Outbound Operations, Training and Engineering & Facilities teams. We will support you along the way with robust onboarding, as well as personal and career development, to help you grow as a strong Quality Management Operations Manager. You will have resources available to you as you leverage technology, metrics, reporting and communication to monitor and drive compliance in this critical area. Responsibilities Supervise the Quality team to achieve desired food and floral quality management and control results and ensure alignment with business objectives Ability to ensure leadership & hourly teams understand processes that impact building quality performance and adhere to stated best practices Collaborate with FDC stakeholders and peers (Quality Management Operations Managers) across the FDC network to drive Target Food & Beverage and FSQR priorities Identify quality and food safety risks based on operational process and key controls and timely issue escalation for a prompt internal and operational resolution plan Drive continuous improvement through documented process maps to comply and maintain Target requirements and federal/local regulations Ensure compliance performance plans are set and maintained by generating detectable and actionable preventive and corrective plans based on root cause remediation to deliver guest needs Establish strong relationships and rapport with key stakeholders to develop/maintain an integrated food and floral quality management program Collaborate with stakeholders to hold vendor(s) accountable for Target and FSQR requirements compliance by leveraging food and floral quality metrics Conduct analysis of current quality key controls to support network food and floral specifications/requirements development and management Leverage and analyze quality and food safety metrics to facilitate and maintain team training and calibration content Engage and develop team members to maximize performance. Make real time behavioral observations and gives regular and specific feedback on individual and team performance. Respond to all team members’ questions and concerns Model and promote a culture which champion Target’s values, competencies and FSQR compliance Manage a safe workplace by advocating safety training and accident preparedness and fostering an environment in which diverse backgrounds are respected and valued Other responsibilities to support the home FDC and FSQR teams, as assigned Skills and Experience Advanced degree, four-year degree or equivalent experience   5+ years of relevant experience in distribution, retail, manufacturing, or supply chain/logistics Applicable team management/supervisory experience Produce and Floral training preferred HACCP/PCQI certification preferred or ability to achieve within 6 months Root cause analysis and the ability to leverage quality data to influence decisions, identify risks and improvement efficiencies Strong organizational skills while identifying process solutions and develop operational improvement plans through documented process maps Ability to apply change principles and processes to effectively identify, manage, initiate, and influence adoption to change initiatives Ability to lead a team through ambiguity, manage multiple tasks or projects and deliver consistently against timelines Strong growth mindset and stakeholders collaboration at varying levels while valuing and actively seeking diverse perspectives   Ability to lead or influence high-performing teams Strong written and verbal communication skills and self-motivation Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Open to relocation Working Environment Prolonged exposure to cold temperatures (32-50°) while working within FDC’s May occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs Target will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the San Francisco and City of Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinances.
