The pay range is $95,000.00 - $171,000.00 Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. Your role will be critical to ensuring the success of Target’s business initiatives and core retail operations. As a Sr Manager, Inventory Accounting , you’ll provide strategic direction and leadership to the Import, Freight and Purchases Accounting Team, ensuring processes and controls are effective for timely and accurate financial statements. In this role, you’ll oversee the core accounting function for domestic and import receipts, domestic and import freight (and related claims), duties/tariffs (including First Sale accounting program), royalties and other timing-related inventory accruals. You’ll work with cross functional partners in order to translate business operations into financial statement activity. Some of these partners include: Global Trade, Risk and Controls, Import Logistics, Product Teams, Merchandise and Supply Chain Finance, and Target Technology. You’ll also have indirect leadership with the Target in India Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely import and receipt accounting. Using your influencing skills, you’ll use insights and data to advocate for Finance in enterprise-wide initiatives and system modernizations, ensuring new solutions meet our requirements for timely and accurate financials as well as operational excellence. About You: B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Accounting or Finance. 5-7 years of leadership experience in accounting, finance or business operations with a focus on inclusivity, career development and support Demonstrated accounting knowledge to translate business operations into financial statement results, including SOX controls, month end close and analytical reviewsStrong problem solving, communication, prioritization and analytical skills High level of curiosity, initiative and the desire to learn end-to-end processes to drive process efficiencies and simplification Ability to be resilient, and adaptable, working through ambiguity and change in a fast-paced accounting operations environment Experience in collaborating effectively across functional areas. This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location (Tues/Wednesday) the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
