The pay range is $75,400.00 - $135,700.00 Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. As an Engineer, you serve as a technical specialist delivering the engineering that powers the product. You develop keen insight into the technical architecture and design to deliver robust and scalable software components. As an engineer, you’ll take the lead as you… Integrate new sources of trend signal into our automated multi-agent trend-sensing ecosystem. Implement, deploy, scale and maintain agentic workflows in partnership with data scientists. Provide a combination of traditional and agentic capabilities to Target’s merchants, trend researchers and designers to help keep Target make timely, informed decisions about what consumers want. Ensure that our rapidly growing trend research ecosystem produces consistent, actionable, transparent results. Help our team stay abreast of a rapidly evolving GenAI ecosystem. About you: 4 year degree or equivalent experience 1+ years of software development experience Demonstrates familiarity with current and emerging technologies in own scope of responsibility, and develops ability to apply these technologies GenAI plays a central role in this product. Successful candidates will demonstrate both experience with and sustained interest in the evolving GenAI ecosystem. Understands concepts of package solutions and package specific programming language with knowledge of development objects. Demonstrates proficiency in at least one computer language. Preferably Python and emerging GenAI Python frameworks. Demonstrates knowledge of different persistence and indexing strategies to support efficient, reliable data retrieval. Understands the concepts of distributed programming and applies it to their domain Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise Demonstrates strong computer science fundamental. This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
