Job Description Western Digital is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Executive Assistant to support the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer (CSMO) . Reporting directly to the CSMO, this individual will serve as a trusted business partner, enabling executive effectiveness while helping drive alignment, execution, and operational excellence across the global Sales and Marketing organization. The Senior Executive Assistant will work closely with the CSMO's Chief of Staff and partner extensively with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Product Management, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, and Corporate Functions. This is a highly visible role requiring exceptional judgment, discretion, executive presence, and the ability to navigate a complex, fast-paced global environment. The successful candidate will proactively anticipate business needs, manage competing priorities, facilitate seamless execution of key initiatives, and serve as an extension of the Office of the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with outstanding organizational and communication skills, strong business acumen, and a proven ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Executive Effectiveness and Strategic Priority Management Serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, ensuring optimal alignment of executive time, priorities, and decision-making activities with business objectives. Manage and optimize a highly complex global calendar, balancing internal leadership commitments, customer engagements, industry events, board-related activities, and strategic business priorities. Anticipate executive needs and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts, competing priorities, and operational challenges. Develop a deep understanding of organizational goals, revenue priorities, customer initiatives, and go-to-market strategies to effectively manage executive focus and time allocation. Act as a trusted advisor on scheduling, prioritization, and organizational effectiveness. Sales & Marketing Leadership Operations Partner with the Sales & Marketing Leadership Team to coordinate executive operating rhythms, leadership meetings, business reviews, forecasting discussions, pipeline reviews, strategic planning sessions, and key commercial initiatives. Ensure leadership meetings are well-structured, appropriately documented, and followed by clear accountability and execution plans. Facilitate action-item tracking and follow-through across the leadership team to drive operational rigor and organizational alignment. Support executive engagement in major customer interactions, industry conferences, revenue-generating initiatives, and strategic partnerships. Executive Communications and Stakeholder Management Serve as a key liaison for the Office of the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, representing the executive with professionalism, diplomacy, and sound judgment. Facilitate effective communication across executive leadership, customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. Manage inbound requests, approvals, correspondence, and executive communications, ensuring timely and professional responses. Support the preparation and review of executive communications, presentations, messaging, and organizational updates. Executive Meeting and Event Management Lead planning and execution of executive meetings, customer engagements, leadership offsites, sales leadership forums, organizational events, and strategic planning sessions. Coordinate agendas, materials, logistics, briefing documents, and post-meeting follow-up activities. Support large-scale business events including Sales Kickoffs, customer advisory boards, executive summits, and marketing conferences. Executive Briefings and Content Preparation Coordinate and oversee briefing materials for customer visits, executive business reviews, analyst meetings, industry events, earnings-related activities, board interactions, and global travel. Partner closely with the Chief of Staff, Corporate Communications, Investor Relations, Product Marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure executive preparedness. Ensure presentations, briefing books, meeting summaries, and supporting documentation are comprehensive, accurate, and delivered in advance of key engagements. Business Operations and Process Excellence Manage expense reporting, purchase orders, vendor engagements, and administrative processes in compliance with company policies. Champion the use of Microsoft 365, Copilot, WD Chat, SharePoint, Teams, Salesforce, and other productivity platforms to drive operational efficiency. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, simplify administrative processes, and improve organizational effectiveness through automation and AI-enabled solutions. Support special projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the CSMO and leadership team. Cross-Functional Leadership and Partnership Build strong partnerships across Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Legal, HR, and Corporate Functions. Establish trusted working relationships with senior executives, key customers, and strategic stakeholders. Support the execution of critical business initiatives, organizational priorities, and leadership objectives. Navigate a highly matrixed environment while influencing outcomes without direct authority. Global Travel Management Coordinate complex domestic and international travel arrangements, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with business priorities. Anticipate travel-related needs and proactively manage logistics, scheduling considerations, and changes across multiple time zones. Executive Assistant Community Leadership Provide functional leadership and mentorship to Executive Assistants across the Sales & Marketing organization. Promote best practices, operational consistency, and professional development across the EA community. Support employee engagement initiatives, leadership events, team communications, and organizational culture efforts. Contribute to a collaborative, customer-focused, and service-oriented environment while strengthening partnerships across the broader administrative community. Qualifications Minimum of 8 years supporting a Chief Sales Officer (CSO), Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Chief Sales & Marketing Officer (CSMO), Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President, or equivalent executive within a large public company. Experience supporting executives in a complex global organization spanning multiple regions, cultures, and time zones. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and AI-enabled productivity tools. Demonstrated ability to manage highly complex executive calendars, global travel, leadership communications, customer engagements, and business operations. Strong experience developing executive-level presentations, board and leadership materials, briefing documents, meeting summaries, and business communications. Exceptional organizational, planning, project management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong business judgment, problem-solving capability, and attention to detail. Ability to anticipate executive needs and proactively identify solutions that support business objectives and organizational effectiveness. Proven ability to serve as a trusted advisor on prioritization, scheduling, stakeholder engagement, and organizational matters. Ability to work independently, exercise sound discretion, and manage highly confidential and sensitive information. Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate effectively across executive leadership and key cross-functional partners. Experience driving accountability for deliverables, follow-up actions, strategic initiatives, and organizational commitments. Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, or leading administrative professionals. Flexibility to support a global executive organization across multiple time zones as business needs require. Daily presence at WD's Irvine, CA office is required. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting a Chief Sales Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, or Chief Sales & Marketing Officer within a global technology company. Familiarity with sales operating rhythms, marketing planning cycles, revenue forecasting, pipeline management, customer engagement strategies, and go-to-market execution. Experience coordinating executive leadership meetings, customer and partner engagements, industry events, analyst briefings, board-related materials, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and strategic planning activities. Experience supporting organizations focused on technology, semiconductors, storage, hardware, software, cloud, AI, or related industries. Advanced proficiency leveraging Microsoft Copilot and other AI technologies to enhance executive effectiveness and operational efficiency. Experience working within highly matrixed, fast-growing, and globally distributed organizations. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing outcomes without direct authority. Experience supporting large-scale organizational transformations, commercial strategy programs, sales productivity initiatives, or executive operating models. Familiarity with CRM and business intelligence platforms such as Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, Dynamics 365, or similar tools. Experience supporting executives who regularly engage with customers, channel partners, investors, analysts, and industry thought leaders. Compensation & Benefits Details An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs. The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York.  This range may be modified in the future. If your position is non-exempt, you are eligible for overtime pay pursuant to company policy and applicable laws.  You may also be eligible for shift differential pay, depending on the shift to which you are assigned. You will be eligible to be considered for bonuses under  either WD’s Short Term Incentive Plan (“STI Plan”) or the Sales Incentive Plan (“SIP”) which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance, depending on your role and your performance.
