Job Description As a Software Validation and Automated Testing Engineer , you will design, develop, validate, and automate testing solutions for software that runs on or supports Full Stack Desktop, Mobile, Vehicle Interface, and Cloud-based services within the Bosch Automotive Service Solutions diagnostics group. You will play a critical role in ensuring software quality, reliability, and performance across vehicle diagnostic tools, mobile applications, web services, and connected diagnostic ecosystems. Join our team as we transform how automotive diagnostic software is developed, validated, and delivered. You will work closely with software engineers, systems engineers, product owners, and validation teams to build automated testing frameworks, improve software quality, and accelerate product releases through continuous integration and continuous testing practices. WHAT YOU WILL DO Software Validation & Quality Engineering Define, develop, and execute software validation strategies and test plans for desktop, mobile, web, and cloud-based applications. Validate software functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and compatibility against product requirements and customer use cases. Create and maintain automated test suites for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing. Develop test cases, test procedures, and validation documentation to support product releases. Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality requirements are incorporated early in the software development lifecycle. Track, report, and communicate software quality metrics, test results, and validation status to stakeholders. Test Automation & Continuous Integration Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web, desktop, mobile, and API-based applications. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery. Create automated scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and system-level interactions. Improve testing efficiency through automation, reducing manual testing effort and increasing test coverage. Support automated execution of regression tests for product releases and software updates. Evaluate and implement modern testing tools, frameworks, and best practices. Software Development & Technical Contributions Participate in software architecture discussions and design reviews to ensure product quality and testability. Develop utilities, tools, and test applications that support software validation activities. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MIS, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience in software development, software validation, test automation, or quality engineering. Experience developing and executing software test plans, test cases, and validation procedures. Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks and automated regression test suites. Experience testing desktop, mobile, web, and cloud-based applications. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and software quality processes. Experience with source control systems and CI/CD environments. Knowledge of software testing methodologies including functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing. Technical Skills Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as: Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Cypress, NUnit, Junit, xUnit, TestNG, Postman and API automation frameworks. Preferred Qualifications Experience with automotive diagnostic systems, vehicle communication networks, or diagnostic protocols. Experience validating software that interfaces with vehicle communication technologies such as CAN, DoIP, UDS, J2534, or OBD-II. Experience testing hardware/software integrated systems. Familiarity with cybersecurity, secure communications, and connected vehicle technologies. Experience with performance, load, and scalability testing. Knowledge of cloud platforms and distributed application architectures. Experience with any of the following programming languages and technologies is a plus: Java, Kotlin, C#, MAUI, Xamarin, C++, HTML, XML, REST APIs, and TCP/IP. Experience using DevOps and CI/CD tools is a plus: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git, and SonarQube. Professional Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proven capability in technical communications, both verbal and written. Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple engineering disciplines.
