BOSCH is a proud supporter of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Initiatives FIRST Robotics  (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) AWIM  (A World In Motion) Job Description PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Directly support the assembly lines by troubleshooting components using various techniques. Monitor equipment by logging in to the devices to observe functionality. Performs periodic checks and takes preventive measures to assure the most effective equipment utilization. Analyze equipment/machine problems, perform repairs, and implement corrective actions to ensure root cause is eliminated permanently. Receive and provide proper turnovers to next shift personnel as required.  Participate and lead projects focused on OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement and machine stability. Demonstrate self-initiative by generating new projects by suggesting improvements and managing workload. Become a subject matter expert for certain topics (based on interest), develop training material, and train appropriate personnel. Maintain a clean and orderly work area and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. Qualifications INTERACTION This position interacts with Operators, Operations Technicians, Specialized Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers and Leadership. QUALIFICATIONS                                                Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent Must be at least 18 years or older Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision and other personnel with the ability to create clear technical instructions Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Must be able to function in a noisy and fast paced environment Must demonstrate self-initiative Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing or machining Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, print-reading and mechanics Must demonstrate mechanical proficiency, leadership ability, and teamwork Must be willing to work on alternate shifts and must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes Must be flexible to work other shifts for training, coaching, projects and travel as needed Mechatronics training (desired) SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE Job scope will require an emphasis on electrical / controls topics, but candidate must have an understanding in both mechanical and electrical systems (mechatronics).  Electrical and mechanical work will be required. Detailed knowledge of Staubli and Omron robots, vision systems, Trumpf lasers, and Profibus required. Knowledge of SAP work order/spare parts system is also required. Understands control systems and is able to connect to and troubleshoot PLC programs.  Programming experience is a plus.  Siemens, Allen Bradley, and OpCon experience preferred. Familiarity with CNC machines (drives, axes, etc.) preferred. Additional Information Benefits Include: Starting hourly rate for this position is  $33.00 - $37.30  based on experience and shift. As a Bosch employee, you can achieve an hourly rate up to  $42.25  through skills development and strong contributions.
