Location: Ogden, UT Schedule: Overnight, Weekend, and After-Hours Coverage Available Kelso Building Services (KBS) is seeking dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join our growing remote operations team as a BAS Monitoring Specialist . In this role, you will help oversee the performance of commercial building systems across the United States by monitoring alarms, reviewing system notifications, coordinating service responses, and supporting customers in real time. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in building automation, HVAC operations, facilities management, and smart building technologies. While previous BAS experience is beneficial, we welcome applicants from a variety of technical and operational backgrounds and provide training for the right candidates. Key Responsibilities Monitor Building Automation Systems (BAS) and facility equipment for alarms, faults, and performance issues Analyze incoming alerts and determine appropriate response actions Communicate with customers regarding system events and service needs Coordinate dispatch activities and technician response when required Support remote troubleshooting efforts and document findings Track, update, and maintain service records and event logs Escalate critical issues according to established procedures Maintain situational awareness of multiple facilities and systems simultaneously Ideal Backgrounds We encourage applications from candidates with experience in: HVAC Dispatch or Service Coordination HVAC Service or Maintenance Building Automation and Controls Facility Operations Building Engineering Industrial Maintenance Mechanical or Electrical Trades Technical Support or Remote Operations Centers Other technology-focused roles requiring troubleshooting and communication skills What We're Looking For Reliable attendance and strong personal accountability Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Confidence using computers, software platforms, and multiple screens Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail Interest in learning advanced building automation technologies Preferred Availability We are currently seeking individuals who can support: Night shifts between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM Weekend operations Holiday and emergency coverage as needed
