About the role

The Opportunity Help build the teams that power iCrossing’s growth. As Talent Acquisition Manager , you’ll lead full-cycle recruiting across strategy, engagement leadership, engineering, content, experience design, data and AI, performance marketing and corporate functions, finding people who combine deep craft expertise with commercial judgment, client empathy, practical AI fluency and ownership for measurable outcomes. Reporting to the HR Director, you’ll partner with hiring managers and leaders to define what strong talent looks like, identify candidates from both expected and adjacent markets, and create selection processes that distinguish polished interviewers from people who can solve problems, build solutions and deliver results. Hybrid: This hybrid role is based in New York, NY and requires working in the office a minimum of two days per week . Our in-office days are currently Tuesday and Wednesday, with additional days where required. What You’ll Do Own full-cycle recruiting, from intake to onboarding, across strategy, engagement leadership, engineering, content, experience design, data and AI, performance marketing and corporate functions. Partner with hiring managers and leaders to translate business needs into outcomes and evidence-based candidate personas, sourcing strategies, adjacent market maps, assessment criteria and candidate propositions. Build proactive pipelines and reusable talent communities around priority capabilities, with sourcing strategies for passive and underrepresented talent. Design recruiter screens, interview plans, scorecards, work samples and feedback practices that help hiring teams evaluate candidates consistently against the outcomes of the role, and synthesize and coordinate interview feedback. Manage offers and pre-boarding, including pre-boarding packages, offer tracking and background screenings, and resolve or escalate verification issues so candidates are cleared before starting. Create a high-quality candidate experience through thoughtful touchpoints and timely feedback, and use 1:1 feedback, surveys and Glassdoor reviews to make improvements. Advise leaders and hiring managers: challenge approaches that may narrow the candidate pool, steer stakeholders to consensus, connect staffing to client outcomes and provide market intelligence that evolves our talent, location and compensation strategies. Continuously improve the function by tracking recruiting outcomes, identifying recurring obstacles and iterating on processes based on search results, hiring quality, stakeholder feedback and new-hire experience. Contribute to other iCrossing and/or Hearst projects, programs and initiatives as needed. What You’ll Bring Required Qualifications 4+ years of in-house full-cycle recruiting experience, including direct ownership of professional, technical or client-facing searches. Current working knowledge of recruiting across at least two of the following areas: strategy or consulting, client or engagement leadership, engineering or digital platforms, content, experience design, data or AI, media or performance marketing. Demonstrated success sourcing passive candidates for specialized or difficult-to-fill roles. Strong proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter and a full-suite applicant tracking system (ATS). Working knowledge of laws and regulations governing interviewing, selection, candidate privacy and fair hiring practices. Bachelor’s degree or four years of additional equivalent professional experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience recruiting in a professional services firm, consultancy, product, technology, digital transformation or similarly multidisciplinary environment. Experience with Oracle, Greenhouse and HireRight, including relevant screening and data-handling requirements. Experience in another people discipline, such as HR business partnering, talent management, learning and development, workforce planning or HR operations. Experience using talent-market data, recruiting analytics, AI-assisted research or workflow automation to improve search effectiveness. Successful Behaviors You translate the business need, client context and intended role outcomes into a clear success profile before launching a search, and measure progress by hiring outcomes and decision quality, not recruiting activity alone. You clarify ambiguous needs, diagnose constraints, weigh evidence and tradeoffs, and recommend a path forward. You challenge unrealistic profiles and unsupported decisions with evidence, and never raise a concern without a plan. You own the recruiting outcome from intake through a cleared, ready-to-start hire. You keep work moving, surface risks early, close loops across handoffs and stay invested in the new hire’s success after they start. You proactively align hiring managers, interviewers, candidates, Hearst, HR Operations, vendors and leaders, anticipating handoff gaps and turning complex or conflicting input into a focused recommendation. You use data, AI and automation to improve sourcing, research, market mapping, assessment, reporting and recruiting operations, validating outputs, protecting confidential information and applying human judgment where it matters. You evaluate talent on the ability to strengthen client trust, solution quality, delivery performance and growth, recognizing capability and adaptability beyond familiar titles, credentials, company names or presentation polish.
