The ideal candidate brings 12+ years of construction management leadership in mission-critical or data center construction, with experience on the owner's-representative side, the ground-up development side, or both. This is a highly visible role in a high-growth technology company, which will require frequent travel across our active site portfolio, direct ownership of GC contract negotiations and delivery budgets of $25M+, and the ability to represent construction risk directly to executive leadership. Key Responsibilities - Set portfolio-level construction strategy and own delivery risk across all active sites, whether leased or owned - Manage GC and landlord relationship escalation on leased sites - Negotiate GC selection, RFPs, and contracts (GMP or lump-sum) directly on owned, powered-land sites - Own the tenant/fit-out delivery schedule on leased sites - Own the full entitlement-to-CO schedule and budget on owned sites - Represent construction delivery directly to the VP of Development & Construction - Oversee the Regional Construction Managers and the Startup and Turnover Manager - Direct the design team (architect/engineer) on owned-site projects - Coordinate site development sequencing (grading, foundations, shell, core) with Civil Engineering and Energy teams - Own the cost and schedule controls interfaces into the Construction Delivery function Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience - 12+ years of construction management/delivery leadership in mission-critical construction, including owner's-representative/landlord-managed oversight and/or ground-up development construction as principal - Proven track record managing large-scale, complex construction programs and budgets of $25M+ - PMP or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) certification preferred - Experience with hyperscaler or colocation build programs (AWS, Google, Meta, Microsoft, or comparable) and/or ground-up data center development as principal, land through CO, preferred - Experience managing capital partner or JV stakeholder relationships through a development lifecycle a plus Compensation $220,000 - $340,000 Final compensation will vary depending on years of experience, background/skill set, location, and applicable laws.
